Harvey and I took a day trip out on the ferry to Somes Island in the middle of Wellington Harbour.

After working a summer job selling tea towels and often being asked if we had any book bags or tote bags, I gave myself the project of attempting to make something out of the gorgeous native bird tea towels we had.
I used Buller's Native Birds of New Zealand tea towels, designed by NZ company Derek Co. to make a sturdy and stylish book/tote bag.

During a weekend trip away to Otaki with some friends I went along to the car show on down at the racecourse. My Sunday had started with a long lie in so the track wasn't as busy at it would have been at 9am. But the blokes who were still hanging around were more than happy to talk about their cars and have me photograph them.
